Other than a fairly nasty wind on the home stretch it was almost perfect condition.
The fastest today where:-
1st = David Weir in 19:44
2nd = Anja Greenwood in 20:59 (first lady)
3rd = Murray Rogers in 21:14
For the handicap:
1st = Celine Ledbury with a 3.21% improvement
2nd = Jill Atkins with a 2.28% improvement
3rd = Lauretta Gavin with a 2.04% improvement.
Handicaps are age-graded, so your actual time is multiplied by the age-graded factor, for example, a 24-year-old man’s time is multiplied by 1 so the time is the same, and for a 73-year-old woman, the time is multiplied by 0.5893. So our oldest runner today ran in 39:05, but her adjusted time is 23:01.
