This is the first of 3 Thursday evening versions of the handicap. Great conditions led to some great improvements.

The fastest today where:-

1st = Matt Hogsden in 18:02

2nd = William Rowley in 18:23

3rd = Jim Arrowsmith in 18:54

6th = Anja Greenwood in 20:40 (first lady)

For the handicap:

1st = Ilkay Husseyin with a 4.92% improvement

2nd = Rory Gibson with a 4.36% improvement

3rd = William Rowley with a 4.04% improvement.

Handicaps are age-graded, so your actual time is multiplied by the age-graded factor, for example, a 24-year-old man’s time is multiplied by 1 so the time is the same, and for a 73-year-old woman, the time is multiplied by 0.5893. So the oldest runner today ran in 29:31, but the adjusted time is 20:46.
