***FINAL INFO*** This coming Thursday 8th June (and note it’s Thursday unlike races 1 and 2 which were Wednesday) we host our own Midweek League race at Trent Park. Important information as follows:
Location: Start and finish on showground field south of the Pineapple. The start will be very close to Go Ape and the finish close to the tennis courts. Our meet point will be close to the finish where you can pick up a number if you haven’t already got one and anything else you may need.
Start Time and Route: The race will start at 7:45 pm and the route will be the same as in recent years. There will be a full circuit of the field before leaving onto the Pineapple near the pond. Having run down the Pineapple runners will pass the top of Cottage Hill and round the normal Handicap loop twice. After coming up Cottage Hill for the second time turn right onto the Pineapple and go back onto the field around the pond and sprint down the field to the finish.
Top and Numbers: A TP top must be worn, these can be purchased via the Club website and if ordered by Wednesday will be available on the night. In emergency we have a few spares but please purchase one. Midweek League numbers must be worn. The numbers apply to all races in the series. We did have a number of people who had disposed of those worn at race 1. I will be at the meet point near the finish to allocate any new numbers required.
Volunteers: We have had a good number come forward in the last week and we are very grateful for you giving up your time to support the Club. However we are still short of a number and in order to make the event as safe and successful as possible we need you. if you are able to help please contact Chas ([email protected]) or Will ([email protected]) to help. For all those that have already volunteered you should have received an email with details of your role, meeting location and timing. If you have volunteered and not received an email please let us know asap by emailing Chas or Will. Please check any spam folder first.
Food: Natasha De Souza and her team will be managing the food. All runners are expected to provide a contribution to the feast. If your surname begins with A – N can bring savoury food and O – Z can bring sweet. It would be nice if some people can make sure we can cater for special dietary requirements such as vegans, vegetarians and gluten free etc. Please drop your contributions off to Tash and her team at the Clubhouse before the race. It’s best not to try and run carrying a tray of sandwiches.
Finally: We want a great set of results and we want all of our top scoring potential runners out there but equally we want to show how great a Club we are by having a huge turnout of all abilities. We want to have a great night for everyone and they all enjoy the experience. See you all there.
