Well done to all those who ran at Chingford on Wednesday. This week we have a normal training week.
The mixed abilities group will meet at 19:10 at the track on Tuesday. The session will be a pyramid session which aims to improve stamina by maintaining a constant pace as the distance gradually increases, and then maintaining good form on the way ‘back down’ the pyramid. Other sessions will be advertised on Coacha or relevant WhatsApp groups, so please refer to them for details.
On Thursday we will head out on our usual 19:00 road runs following club notices. As is typical with a Thursday runs, we will try to incorporate some segments of the run at a tempo/threshold pace to improve endurance.
On Saturday we have the May Handicap where our beginners group will run their first 5K. Please give them lots of encouragement as you see them around the course and try to remember the feeling of tackling the TP handicap hills form the first time.
